I use bold colours to visualise emotional warfare within contemporary Africa. I express the beauty behind the imperfections, struggles, internal battles and ugly situations that humans carry rather than portraying them as upfront suffering. My practice is a hybrid of portraiture, pop art, caricature, shaped by my perspective as an African. Through my work, I aim to transform personal and collective struggles into visual experiences that audiences across cultures can emotionally recognize.
